This page describes what Bowerjack keeps today, why, and for how long.
Your email address
Bowerjack asks for your email address before you use it, and signs you in by emailing you a code. Signing up means Bowerjack emails you about your account and your decks.
You can also choose to receive occasional news about Bowerjack. The box starts unticked in countries whose rules ask for an opt-in, and wherever your country is not known. Bowerjack records your choice, the wording you were shown, whether the box started ticked, the country Cloudflare reported for your connection, and the time. Bowerjack does not send news email yet.
Signing in
When you sign in, studio.bowerjack.com sets a session cookie for that site only. Your session records when it was created, and the IP address and browser it was created from. This website, bowerjack.com, sets no cookies.
Connected AI assistants
When you connect an assistant such as Claude, Bowerjack keeps information about the connection: which assistant, when you approved it, and its access and refresh tokens, stored hashed. You can disconnect an assistant at any time on the Connected agents page.
A connected assistant may send the source pages and pictures Bowerjack keeps for your decks to its own model provider.
Debug records and logs
Each request a connected assistant makes is kept with Bowerjack's reply for 3 days to debug problems, then deleted. Tokens and cookies are removed before a record is kept. Logs about requests, without their contents, are kept for up to 7 days.
Your decks
For each deck, Bowerjack keeps its versions, the source documents it retrieved, the pictures and their licenses, so each card's sources and each picture's license can be checked, and credited when the deck is printed. The Studio editor's recovery copies of a deck are kept with it for a day after the editor last wrote one.
Where it is kept
Bowerjack runs on Cloudflare, which stores this data and sends Bowerjack's email.
Selling data
Bowerjack does not sell your email address. We may sell decks you have built, or decks derived from them.
